      LD doesn't stay lucid

      Hey guys,

I've had a good number of my LDs end without me waking up but rather my LD turn from lucid to vivid. I can't seem to hold on to that control for more than 10 minutes, which I can't really complain, 10 minutes was pretty awesome, I typically WILD into my dreams, and have not much luck with DILDs, so maybe thats the reason.

      What do you guys think?

Well you need a way to stay lucid, but if you can keep on being lucid for 10 minutes that is already quite awesome. To stay lucid it helps to do something normally impossible, otherwise try to remind yourself of dreaming as much as possible. If you can modify your dream surroundings try to implement dream signs so you have greater chances of staying or resuming lucidity.

Make sure you stabilise as soon as you become lucid! You'll find a lot of good stabilisation techniques in these forums. Try to be actively involved in your dream, and remind yourself that you're dreaming every few minutes. You could try asking a dream character to remind you that you're dreaming, too - that could work!

You need to make sure you are well grounded, I often have this problem too. You just gotta keep on re affirming that you are in a dream. It might be harder at first, but you'll get the hang of it!

and also, ErikaEH, we have the same name *highfive*
