As enak said, you will want to start a dream journal. The dream journal can help with recall if you do not remember alot of dreams but also reminds you that your dreams are important to you. The method that works best for me as I am still fairly new to Lucid dreaming is the MILD method. Basically you raise your awareness and perform frequent reality checks. If you want to know more information on inducing lucids than refer to the forum resources, wiki, articles. I found alot of different detailed tutorials there, check it out. |

MILD actually focuses on using mantras to get lucid rather than awareness. It can help, but mantras are the key thing; you're thinking of DILD, heh. |

Yeah that wasn't the best statment, it depends on the person which is more vivid. I just meant that if WILD's do work for you it's more of a guaranteed thing every time you do it. But yeah, every way has good points. |

Thnx guys. Yeah ive started a dream journal, but i dont like to write in it when i only remember fragments. i always get distracted by other thoughts when i first wake up so its hard at times. other times it just flows out of me when im writing them down in the moment and aftraid of it slipping away. its tough sometimes. I've started raising my awareness and im going to see how that goes to try and do DILD. thats how i have had LDs in the past but i am very interested in the WILD since i have had Sleep paralysis experience and try to use that to my advantage. is it possible to eventually try and do both throughout the night? start just by going to sleep normal, have a DILD and then have an alarm set for the middle of the night so that its easier to do a WILD or is that something different? i dunno. ill figure it out as i go along and ask questions as i get to those bridges i guess. |
