      Long time lurker...

Hello there, I've been lurking around here from time to time for a while, thought I may as well join and introduce myself

I don't quite remember when I first came across lucid dreaming, but my earliest memory was a post on another forum a few years back, maybe three or four years ago. I remember someone claiming that they could dream consiously and control everything around them. I was a sceptic at the time, and I thought no way could that be possible, that sounds a little hard to believe. So I searched around and found out that it's actually possible! I was thinking to myself wow, something this great is actually real

I joined the LD4all forum a few years back and read about WBTB and MILD. I tried it for about a month and got no success. So I gave up. After about a year I had a semi-lucid dream, it lasted only a second or so but the feeling of realizing that I was in a dream was unbelievable. That gave me some confidence to try some techniques again. But I failed. Every year I would go through the same cycle of trying, then giving up.

Lately I've been trying Naiya's MILD technique, no success as of yet but I am not going to give up like before Even though I can't lucid dream (yet) I've been keeping a dream journal for a couple of years now, lately I've been keeping track of my dreams every day. Usually I remember a couple of dreams a night, up to four on a good night.

Any advice would be apprecaited, I read people complaining that they haven't had any lucid dreams after reading about it for a week, when I've known about it for years and I haven't had any proper LDs! It's really hard keeping my motivation...

Anyway, you will be seeing more of me from now on, hope I haven't bored you with my wall of text!

Does the OOC room, aqforums sound familiar to you? Remember discussing that like 4 years ago lol

Also, Naiyas technique is quite good, but for advice, what kind of dreams do you have? They all work differently for the different dreamers, so you need to check first your own dreams before choosing something.

      Hello and welcome!
Addressing your attempts of lucid dreaming- let it happen naturally! Do not try to force it as you may end up stressing yourself out, thus making lucidity harder to achieve. It's excellent that you're starting a dream journal as normal dreams can be just as entertaining as lucids If you are using the MILD method, i'd most recommend doing reality checks as well.
Another thing I feel worthy to mention is a positive attitude. Like mentioned earlier, if you stress yourself out, it can produce null results.

      Good luck~

Any questions about lucid dreaming? Drop me a PM here!

Doesn't ring a bell! My dreams are usually about things similar to what I do in waking life, but they are in places that do not exist, if that makes sense.

Hi I am starting to do RCs fequently. I have set a wallpaper on my phone too that says 'Is this a dream? Do an RC!', so whenever I look at my phone I do an RC too. I am trying to keep a positive attitude, I'm not forcing myself anymore. I know it helps to 'expect' a lucid dream, but there are times when my confidence is what brings me down. Sometimes I will feel like I'll definately have a LD, then when the time comes, I have a ND... But at least I am remembering my dreams

      Thanks for the tips guys
