      Post Been searching for others

who find themselves awake while dreaming or who simply explore their inner world. I'm just a mom, artist, and writer. I used to do a lot of meditation, RV (remote viewing), lucid dreaming, and even attempted kundalini.

I found this site after searching for a topic on google regarding...erm ...orgasm and meditation. That's how I found you.

Well, that may be TMI (too much information) for an introduction!

My avatar and name have a special meaning. but I won't go into that here as this is a 'introduce yourself section' not 'lay out all your dreams' etc section...

I'm hoping to get back into meditation, because during a time of intensive meditation I had my most amazing lucid dreams and other inner voyages.

I stopped meditating when the process of kundalini became way too forceful. I probably was doing it wrong - or - just freaked myself out.

But today I got back on the meditation wagon...and was hoping to explore some of my previous, and hopefully future, dreamworld experiences with you all, as well as, reading about yours. When I meditated regularly, I kept a dream journal and will start that up again. I used a ritual to try to recall my dreams upon waking. The method was just beginning to work regularly when I stopped all meditation, which stopped most recall and all lucid dreaming.

So...here's to meeting many of you and to having many sweet dreams -

Welcome to the dreamviews forum. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what is kundalini meditation?

Hi, GoldenLight. Unrelated thought: your username is also a somewhat common Mongolian name-- Altangeral means "golden light."

I didn't know kundalini was something you could "do." I thought it just happened to you. But then I guess intensive meditation could awaken that sort of thing. IDK, all the information I've seen about kundalini comes from elcollie.com, and I don't really believe a lot of the stuff she claims. She connects A LOT of random bodily symptoms to kundalini. But it's certainly interesting.

I'm curious about the ritual you used to remember your dreams. I myself am terrible at dream recall. And at meditation. I don't have the discipline. But I'd like to develop that discipline. I think ritual is very helpful in making a person slip into desired mind states.

      Anyway, nice to meet you.

It's not a meditation, EarthInferno, but it is an event, so to speak. I have always thought that kundalini occurs when all the chackras are active and open. (probably spelled it wrong :/ But I had not opened all of them - I was attempting to. :0) I simply meditated with meta music which has binural beats embedded in it. And then I would alternate to regular mediation without any music. I even did an eyes open form and that was not to my liking. ;0) Nice to meet you.

Hi ebullere! No, I did not know that. I don't think you can 'do' kundalini but that it occurs once your chakras are all opened and active. I was activating my chakras. Perhaps that is a better explanation.

My ritual was using a journal to write a mantra, if you will, that tonight I would remember my dreams. I wrote it every night before I went to sleep. I kept the journal on my bedside table along with a pencil. If I woke during the night or first thing in the morning, I would write down whatever I did remember in that journal. Most started with just fragments. They made no sense. But as I kept at it, I got longer, more detailed dreams. Also, the mantra, or whatever one wishes to call it, also contained a sentence or two about waking to record my dreams. I had read that if you wake a lot during the night you can usually remember dreams better. Those who sleep straight through the night, remember fewer dreams, at first, anyways.

In addition to writing my 'mantra', I had been meditating daily, eventually building up to an hour each day. I believe(d) that with a clear mind you could focus yourself better. When I started meditating, I used Metamusic/Binural beats. It helped me focus my thoughts on the music instead of all my bodily noises or external noises and then eventually I focused on my own thoughts until my thoughts were few to none. I was able to get myself to a black void. It was incredible, but I have since fallen out of practice. And meditating, is not like getting back on a bike. I think, you must start all over again. So, I am at step one. I also kept a meditation ritual. I used the same music, the same incense, the same chair. I believe, could be wrong, that it helped my mind and body prepare itself for meditation. In meditation, as in lucid dreaming, there seems to be a trigger that 'wakes us', in meditating, I found the trigger of ritual to help calm my mind before I closed my eyes. Did that make any sense??

      Nice to meet you too!

Just found the actual entry in my Dream Journal: Every morning I faithfully write dream key words in my notebook. I recognize each morning as a fresh opportunity to hone my astral memory. I attract dreams that help me achieve my goal of conscience out of body exploration. / or/ My dream memory continues to develop scene after scene returns to me each time I awaken. The more I practice writing key words the more powerful and clear my dream memory becomes.

Those were the two that I repeated most often. I wrote it every night before bedtime and then recorded my dreams if I woke at night or first thing in the morning. I am currently putting together a dream journal here from past dreams and any that I have from this day forward.

Have you had any experience with Wake Initiated Lucid Dreaming (WILD), or induced Out of Body Experiences? I find that there is a lot of overlap between the sensations experienced in a kundalini awakening and the feelings that accompany an out of body experience or WILD. It is definitely all tied together. I think your meditation experience will be put to good use if you pursue WILD. Amazing things happen when you start introducing sleep and dreams into your practice.

Welcome to DV, GoldenLight Sounds like you have a ton of experiences and I'm eager to learn from you, if you are willing to share.

I'm using MILD method to get DILD lucid dreams, together with WBTB, if you have any questions about that, will be happy to help.

I would be very much interested in your meditation method. I'm a noob in that and there is so much different methods, I just can't decide which one to start with for it to be effective and not too invasive (I have heard that if you open your chakras out of balance, it will cause all kind of trouble, so I'm looking just for simple meditation that gets me into altered states to be able to OBE/LD from). Happy dreams

I am not familiar with WILD but I have been heavily into OBEs. I am so out of practice for meditating but have started again. I just feel better when I do and my dream experiences are freakin' amazing! Posting my old Dream Journal entries because I haven't had any recently since I stopped meditating. What type of overlap do you think occurs? I mean, what type of sensations? Interested.

I'm hear to learn methods for Lucid dreaming because all of mine were DILDs. I have had many wacky dreams that I am slowly posting in my dream journal. They are so involved and vivid that some I turned into stories. They're just too freakin' weird to NOT write about.

I think you are so right about the out of balance chakras. I had a strange experience, which will go in my dream journal, and I just stopped. I have worked with energy building and various OBE methods using a book and going step by step. I have had some interesting results but no official OBE - so - LOL - maybe I'm not the best for giving advice there. :0D I use a lot of binural music for meditation and would be happy to discuss it. Anyone can friend me - I am quite open with my experiences and am so eager to learn methods for lucid dreaming. So, maybe we can trade info! ??
