Dream come true, in a bad way. Picture link at bottom.

Introducing myself as a new member. I have been dreaming like crazy since I stopped smoking weed about 3 months ago. Weed effects your REM sleep and consequently means that you don't dream nearly as much or as vividly. I can't explain it any more than that but every since I quit I have extremely vivid dreams nearly every single night.

The reason for joining is two fold, one I think my dreams may be found interesting by the members here, and two one of my dreams came true tonight!

Last night I had a dream,
Heading back from a car meet I was in my car, my best friend Alex in his civic SI and my other best friend George W in his 550whp s2000. (GW is not the best driver, and it has always scared me him having that car, it is stupid fast and dangerous) So in front of me GW takes off and is swerving in and out of traffic. He hits the median, swerves to the left and hits Alex knocks him off the road and kills him. Then swerves back towards the median and slams into it killing himself.

Tonight GW took another best friend, Joseph, for a ride in his new car, the s2000, they leave are gone five minutes before we hear them on the straight road behind our house. He punched it in 2nd, 3rd, than I heard 4th. 3rd gear goes to about 100mph and in a furious hurry, so 4th gear meant over 100mph on a street not meant for anything over 80.

Some time passes and I jokingly say to Alex who is in the garage with me, maybe we should go check on him. More time, and I'm sitting in the garage I hear the faintest siren so I get up and walk out to the driveway and listen closely.

"Alex do you hear that? Is that a siren?"
"Yeah he just got pulled over."
"No, that is an ambulance siren."

So we ran to the car drove around the corner to find a huge scene, people, fire trucks, ambulances. My first thought is wtf both of my friends are dead... We started running towards the crash to find them safe with only a concussion each.

They were going 115mph when they hit a brick wall, bounced off the wall and spun around in circles from brick wall to guard rail for about 75 yards before coming to a stop. I found turbo parts, springs, two wheels that came off the car still have the brakes intact and one ripped off the suspension with it, the third wheel was later found in a field with only one left on the car.

Never before have I dreamed something that came true, I don't know if its purely circumstance or not but I told every one of my friends about this dream this morning when I woke up before this ever happened and I felt so weird watching them pull out of the driveway like I knew something was going to happen.

Welcome to DreamViews! That's one crazy dream, exactly the kind of dream that makes people believe in premonition dreams and stuff like Astral Projection, Shared Dreaming etc. Who knows? It might all be true, but it's kind of hard to prove it since it seems it can't be done scientifically. It might just be a coincidence.

I'm glad your friends are alright Don't let dreams like this rule your life, it sounds like a pretty normal fear and that your subconscious knew it was bound to happen. Also weed messes with your melatonin, the sleeping hormone. If you have any questions about induction techniques or anything dreaming related, the Dream Guide Team (including me) and the rest of the community is very friendly and helpful, so just write in here or ask in PM's.

      Keep on dreaming!

Hi Wmfp. That's some dream. Start writing your dreams down and see, if you have more premonitions. Sometimes dreams fulfill in longer time, like in many months, so you can browse through your dream journal later and see. Happy dreams

I don't know if this is considered lucid dreaming or not but its the closest I get to such a thing. I am 100% aware of the fact that I'm dream when I am dreaming nearly every time I dream. I know that I'm dreaming and I often have fun in my dreams, but have never controlled my actions that I am aware of but do things that I would normally do.

Well, if you know you're dreaming it's a lucid dream. You don't have to have control in one for it to count. You can have a non-lucid one in which you control stuff but don't realise you're dreaming, or a lucid one in which you can't control anything. Confidence in control comes in time, but remember that you're able to do whatever you want, as long as you believe in it.

That is scary. I hope your friends are not hurt too bad. (Hopefully they will learn a lesson). It sounds like some part of you knew your friend was going to crash, eventually.
