Little help needed!! :/ (concerns WILD technique)

iv'e tried doing the WILD technique a couple of times but i end up just not moving for an hour and eventually giving up. i do get weird tingly feelings though if i try wiggling my toes and fingers. i also start to get flashing lights and fluctuations of colour towards the end but then nothing happens for ages and i just end up giving up and going to sleep normally. thanks a bazillion

      Moved to WILD subsection
Try to be more relaxed, your aim should be to fall asleep, so become less aware yet retain a slight amount of conciousness.
It is a tough technique and it's very difficult to find the right balance!

i can see the logic in that but it sounds SO difficult!! thanks i'll try it tonight.
btw, about how long do you have to wait when lying down to lucid dreaming and how long did it take you to master the technique of WILD?
      thanks again

Make sure you get enough sleep before WILD. It's not the easiest technique, may take you many tries before sucess. Happy dreams

OK, just wanted to make sure

      Good advice from Arch.

What you can do, is try to just go through the normal falling asleep process until you are more sleepy/tired/relaxed. Then you can start watching out for images and other stuff. But WILDing is not easy, because seemingly you may be doing everything right, but it just may not be the 'right' time for a WILD.

Have you considered MILD/DILD technique? You don't need to abandon WILDing, but in case the WILD attempt fails, you have a second chance to get a DILD. Happy dreams.

Also, another common problem people have with WILDS when they say, "Nothing happened" Everyone knows you have to be completely still, but one thing i sure didn't know is you also have to keep your eyes still.. sounds impossible? I won't argue... Im still trying to not move my eyes when trying to WILD, but maybe it will be easier for you. and if you already knew that, ignore this post entirely

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't.. But if you always wake up with a dry throat it probably means you breathe through your mouth when you sleep. Its perfectly normal, even if it is unpleasant.
