      Newbies concerns on WILD

Hello, I've got a few concerns about WILD. Well, one in particular. If I start trying it, and end up getting into a habit of it, but never actually reach the dreaming state - will I be able to stop the WILD'ing process and actually be able to sleep normally? I've had it before where I've accidentally got to the WILD stage where I start experiencing auditory or visual sensations, but then I just get jolted awake by the falling feeling, and I don't want to suffer that every night. Any advice would be great, thanks.

Trying to WILD when you are first going to sleep isn't necessarily the easiest thing. If you want to fall asleep then just don't try to stay conscious. Try and clear your mind and you should just drift into sleep instead of actually being awake during SP

Appreciate the response - I'd still like to know if anyone else has ever experienced this trouble, so I can get a broader view of what people have experienced

Falling into an abyss is common in sleep paralysis. you just have to accept it. after a while of falling it seems pretty cool. To answer your question, usually your mind can fall asleep before you go into sleep paralysis.
