Not sure what to do at night

      Hey people!

Lately i've been working a lot on awareness, and it's been quite successful concerning that. But i've been wondering what to do at night when going to bed. And by going to bed i mean i'd rather not try things that need waking up like WBTB or something. Just something to try while going to sleep at night. So does anyone have suggestions? willing to try some new stuff

Thanks in advance for your time!

If you don't want to do WBTB, then MILD/DILD method would be best for you. Although WBTB would give you better chance for a lucid, you don't have to do it.

Practicing awareness is great. If you not doing RCs and mantras, I would add them to your awareness practice. Then just go to sleep normally, say your mantra as you falling asleep and wait for a lucid dream. There is a section for DILD under forum DV academy, if you interested. Happy dreams

Thanks! there's one thing i've been wondering for a long while now. I've heard countless stories about people accidentally achieving sleep paralysis. This would indicate they achieved sleep paralysis without WBTBing (or maybe sometimes with WBTB but that's besides the point). I've been told getting into sleep paralysis without WBTB shouldn't be possible, but still i hear so many people accidentally doing it, while i never seem to be able to when i'm trying? Any possible clarification how sleep paralysis without WBTB works?

That's a good question. I mean, I have accidentally achieved sleep paralysis when I wasn't trying, but it was always WBTB. But a WBTB doesn't have to be setting your alarm for 5am on a school or work morning. Do it on your day off. And maybe even set it for as late as 6 or 7am if you don't want to get up as early as 5am. That's what I do and it works pretty good so far. Or even if you have time for a nap, that works too for alot of folks.

You can get spontaneous sleep paralysis anytime you have REM. This can be early in the night, during a nap, or while sleeping in on a lazy Sunday. When you are actively seeking to induce it to have a lucid dream, go with the best odds and time it for the early morning hours.

Naps are good too. I love any excuse for a nap. You will have to play with the timing until you find a nap time that works for you. I have success around 3pm or 7pm.
