      Hello folks. Novice dreamer here.

Within the past month, I've taken an interest in dreams and lucidity. I've been researching scientific journals, watching videos, and reading articles about the subject. I've also got a dream journal - which I've been writing in for a few pages now.

I've only had one "Lucid Dream" before. I realized that I was dreaming and woke up soon afterwards.

Like many people who have taken an interest in dreaming, I'm amazed by the things I'm hearing about lucidity - but I'm not in it solely for lucidity. I've come to terms with the fact that I spend a HUGE chunk of my life asleep. For the most part, that chunk of my life is remembered as blackness.

By keeping a dream journal, I've discovered that every night I get to experience something totally different, and totally random. To think that it IS possible to control this... Blows my mind.

Now, I'm taking the step of registering with and joining a dreaming community, where I can continue my studies of the concept and make the most of my experiences as a dreamer.

I hope to meet many great folks here at Dreamviews, and I hope that we can learn from eachother and better ourselves in our joined efforts to dream evil away and such

Hey, and welcome to DreamViews! Always good to see another Texan!

From your intro it sounds like you already have a good idea of what you're getting into. The Dream Journal is always the first best step. Recall, stability and control all start there.

If you need any help with induction techniques you can visit the WIKI or the HOME page, links for both are located at the top of each page in the forum. From there you can find most of the information you would need to get into Lucid Dreaming.

This is a great community! If you have a question on any subject, ask any member or start a new thread!

I look forward to seeing you around!

      Welcome to DV!
It's great to see so much enthusiasm, and with enough dedication and hard work, you'll be able to have even more lucids.
Good job on starting a dream journal and saturating your mind with sleep information. That never hurts anything, usually the opposite.
My biggest advice to you is to find one technique and stick to it. Persistence is key.
You'll find "experts" on just about any method here, so you'll always find help.

      Good luck.
