Cool Hey you people of the night :D

      Hey guys,

My name's Tanguy, I'm 19 and I'm French. For 2 years I've been interested in all things related to understanding my body, how it works etc. For example I'm reading a lot of stuff about NLP.

I recently heard of lucid dream and thought I'd give it a try as it seems so amazing I just started this week to write dreams into my dream journal, it's a bit hard to remember sometimes... But I'll stick to it, I really want to have a LD as you call it

This morning I tried WBTB technique but I don't manage to sleep again after waking up haha !

This forums seems pretty cool with a nice and sharing community, hope I'll learn a lot and contribute my best !

Btw do you know any iPhone app that does alarm for better waking up or which is created specially for LDing ?

Oh and just a quick question do I have to talk to myself mentally when trying to LDing or just visializating ?

      Many thanks,

      See you soon dreamviewers !

      Welcome to the forum

Go on apps store and search lucid dreaming, there are quite few useful apps. DreamZ is one of the most popular. Keep writing in your dream journal and your recall will get better.

As for your last question, the only way to find out is to try. Different things work for different people.

Welcome to DV! I hope to see you posting around more

I recommend you work on your dream recall first and then choose a technique to lucid dream. You don't always have to talk to yourself and give autosuggestions in order to lucid dream. There are many different techniques, just look around and find one that works for you. Good luck! If you have a question, you could always send me a PM

      Welcome!

If you cant fall back asleep after WBTB, maybe you have stayed up too long, or too late in the morning. You can try WBTB after 4.5 hours of sleep, stay up only untill you can think clearly, but you still sleepy enough to fall asleep fast.

There is few things you can do to remember better.
      - wake up after every dream by either drinking water before bed and each time you wake up
-say a mantra as you falling asleep 'I remember my dreams', or 'I wake up after dream and remember it'
-write in your journal, even if you only remember one word or feeling
-if you don't remember anything at all, write 'I have good memory and my recall is getting better every day'

      happy dreams
