You can still induce lucid dreams without experiencing sleep paralysis. DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream) and MILD (Mnemonically Induced Lucid Dream) focus on you becoming aware from inside a dream, so you would be able to fall asleep like you normally do. Techniques like WILD (Wake Initiated Lucid Dream) and DEILD (Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream) may cause you to experience sleep paralysis. If you really are afraid of sleep paralysis then you should stay away from WILD and DEILD for now. Look around the tutorials section of the forums or the wiki for MILD and DILD techniques. I think they will be best suited for you. |
