Hello fellow Lucid Dreamers! Anyone use software to LD?

First of all, I'm new here so I wanted to say hi. I have been researching LD all over the web recently I'm really stoked on the idea, I've been aware that I was dreaming once but still haven't had a LD . Anyway, I was wondering if anyone uses a particular computer program to help them LD?

That's a good question. I know a few people use phone apps to help with lucid dreaming (such as Dreamz, Caynax Hourly Chime, and Sleep Check Reminder). I haven't seen anything about computer programs yet.

If you were aware you were dreaming, that means you DID have a lucid dream. Were you not able to control the dream? Or did the dream fade once you realized you were dreaming?

lol awesome!! I guess I had the misconception that LD was defined by the ability to control your dreams noob mistake Anyway I found a section of this website called ld4all when I was surfing the web about LDs and it offered a few pieces of software that supposedly helped induce LD like programs that would have audio coincide with the sleep cycles or something like that. None of the programs worked on my comp though they were all to old lol. I feel like using some sort of audio that increases in volume as you fall deeper into sleep or something could help.

No worries, I think most people confuse control with lucidity when they learn about lucid dreaming. I certainly did. It makes sense that awareness and control are different concepts, but if you don't have much experience in lucid dreaming, how would you know?

Oh yeah, I found that ld4all site, but didn't understand how the programs would work, so I didn't try them. I was a little wary of the programs, I like understanding things before trying them.

How about you try binaural beats or isochronic tones? I just tried isochronic tones last night, and I saw a little bit of progress. There have been mixed reactions from the forum about the effectiveness but it's worth a try. I had a little bit of progress last night. Binaural beats and Isochronic tones can both be found on Youtube.

If you decide to try it, let us know how it goes!

I used Wake Back To Bed along with the music, and that gave me a little more success with the music. Using WBTB also allows me to remember more dreams. Best of luck!

Yeah I'm not sure how much the binaural beats helped, but I used wake back to bed and had an LD last night!! I just woke up at like 5am and went back to bed but was thinking repeatedly in my head "I am in a dream" and when I started dreaming I became aware I was dreaming!

That's great, swiper. Congratulations! Keep doing whatever it was that helped you become lucid!

What did you do in the dream? Did you have more control in this dream?

I used binaural beats one night and it helped me go to sleep but that was about it didn't really think it helped in terms of lucidity.

I used an alarm to wake back to bed and just repeated over and over in my head as I fell back to sleep "I am dreaming" and it totally worked!! I feel like WILD is the next step though, curating your own dreams before you even enter them is such an enticing idea, sounds like you need a LOT of experience and knowledge of dreams to be able to have a WILD though.

Not sure, I think i drifted off into sleep after maybe fifteen or twenty minutes I just got up, turned off the alarm, and went right back to bed just telling myself I was dreaming. When I wake up that early in the middle of REM sleep my body literally automatically goes back to sleep lol
