Newbie with a strange experiance!

So i started trying to become lucid about a week ago....and i already am becoming lucid.My dreams are very strange because i cant control where i am but only what i do.the strange part about my dreams are i always end up spawning in the same spot....in a "maze" of hallways. everynight i try to find my way out of the hallways....i think im getting closer to the exit...but i dont know.I have to go off of memory of what direction to go...strange isnt it??

Welcome to the board, Bradley. I'm not an expert on this of course, but from most peoples experiences, it seems to take them a while to begin controlling their dream environment. If you're becoming lucid regularly now you're doing exceedingly well, far better than most of us who are just starting out, so just work on disciplining yourself to have greater control over your dreams. Make sure to read through the tutorials, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Welcome to DV, BradleyB! you can try to influence what you gonna be dreaming about by thinking about a place as you falling asleep. It's best to do with a place that you know really well. Think about it, try to see it, recall how it felt to be there. Or, when in a maze, can you make an exit door or window and before opening it, tell yourself it will lead to [other place], or break down the wall if you have control over what you do. Happy dreams
