      Checking in!

Hi, my name's Carousel. I'm 18 years old and I already have quite a few LDs under my belt from previous experiences; I joined to meet others interested in the subject and maybe get more advice and tips from people. Hope you'll have me!

      Welcome to DreamViews!

It's good to hear you have already experienced LDs. Here you will learn much about how to incubate them and keep them from falling apart.

The first step around here is working on dream recall. A lucid dream isn't any good to you if you don't remember it. Many people here use the online Dream Journal section of the forum, which allows other members to read dreams and offer feedback. If you prefer you might also want to keep one on paper. Either way, recall helps with all the methods of induction and control.

In the WIKI you will find definitions, techniques, tutorials and methodology written by people from the forum. The great thing about that is you can ask questions directly to the people advising you. A good place to start in the WIKI is DV-Tutorials. It lists all the basic methods and some control techniques.

People are always willing to answer questions so if you have any, post them and someone will reply. Additionally, feel free to PM me or any of the people with stars under our names. We are mods, dream guides, and admin people tasked with making sure people find the information they need.

      Again, welcome!

      Thanks melanieb!
I have to work on remembering my dreams then, because I find it hard to do that when I wake up in the morning. I'm a pen and paper kind of person so doing it the old-fashioned way will work for me! I'll be sure to ask around, people seem very friendly here which is refreshing.

Dream journaling may sound cheesy, but it makes a huge difference. It really is the best way to improve your recall, and start having vivid dreams.

I liked one of your posts giving advice. It was almost identical to what I was going to say!

I used to think having a dream journal was kind of cheesy, but I love the idea of them now! Thanks to both of you. I'm going to look up dream journaling right now, since I almost forgot earlier.

You will find links to many people's dream journals in their signatures if you would like to read a few for tips and styles.

You can also find them on the front page of the forum.

They are also linked at the top of every page in the headers. Scroll up.

You can also access any individuals dream journal by looking under their profile for the words "DJ Entries" where the number of entries will link you directly to that person's dream journal.

      Happy dreaming!
