Welcome to the forum! One thing that's true about lucid dreaming, the more you put into your efforts the more you get out of it. Keeping track of your dreams in a dream journal and trying out some of the techniques can really aid you efforts. As gab mentioned, a lot of information is available in the DV WIKI.
