Hi, my name is Mark. I have developed an interest in lucid dreaming. I found out about it on YouTube. After which I looked further into it on various websites. I'm very interested in trying it. However, I have some concerns. And these concerns make me wonder if I will succeed in lucid dreaming or not. I know it is said that anyone can have a lucid dream, but I've seen information that makes me feel I can't. It has to do with sleep itself. I've seen information about the average human being's sleep cycles. From what I gather, now correct if I'm wrong, is that you need to sleep somewhere from 4-6 hours in order to achieve deep rem sleep. From what I can gather this is the period where you have the highest chance of achieving lucid dreaming. The problem with me is I, for as long I can remember, have never slept that long. I usually wake up 2-3 times during the night. The longest I can ever recall sleeping was somewhere between 2-3 hours at a time. I don't believe I have insomnia. I usually have pretty good dream recall. So if anyone can tell precisely if I'm right or I am making too much out out of this, please let me know. I really, really want to do this, but I'm afraid the way I sleep will prevent it.
