For now, I need to share

I'm not sure I am on the right website. I looked up dream forums and this was one of the top sites.
I have extremely vivid dreams. I have learned how to control bad dreams and good dreams. If I want to change a dream I am, somehow I can make it "spin" into another dream. I actually see the old dream swirling out when this happens. Another thing I have learned how to do is wake myself up from a bad dream. Usually this is only when the dream is so horrible I feel pain or someone is killing me and its painful. When I wake up usually I cannot move my body or speak. It is just a brief rest before I fall back asleep.
My dreams also predict what has/will happened. Of course, I am asleep so when I wake up I find out the news. Just about always it is about death that my dreams predict/show. It is always someone I know.
I am just coming here now because recently I have had a large number of dreams with the same message. 999. Even last night, I kept asking in my dream what was "999". Also "250". This has been the past 5 nights. 999 999 999. and then a 250 once in a dream.
Anyways, there is so much more but that is my main craziness that has brought me to this forum in the first place.

Hi, you seem to have a fairly good handle on dreaming. There's a subforum here that deals with what you described, visit Beyond Dreaming for stuff relating to that.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

(And what you described after you wake up from a nightmare is called sleep paralysis, you can read more about it HERE )

      Happy dreaming!

      Welcome to the forum!

DreamViews is the right place for you. Lucid dreaming is a great way to handle nightmares, and we have a section of the forum dedicated to recurring dreams like the number ones you mentioned. Beyond Dreaming is also a good place to discuss that.

Don't worry. You're not crazy. Dreams are the realm of fantasy and creation. Unusual elements are normal.

If you have questions we're here to help. You can click on my name to send me a private message or feel free to post your questions on the forum.

Let me know if you dream of the lottery numbers!

You are in the right place Once we become aware in our dreams, we can exert all sorts of control. Change the dream, wake yourself up, fly around shooting cupcakes out of your fingers. The paralysis you described after being startled awake is probably sleep paralysis. It sounds like you are already an amazing dreamer. I hope you stick around

      Thank you :)

Thank you for your responses and directing me to where I should look. Feels good having other people who can relate.
