First of all, my name (in real life) is George.
So while I was searching on Google about a completely irrelevant matter (demonology), I've got redirected at a wikipedia page about Nightmare. I've read some stuff about it and then I've found an interesting link about Lucid Dreams (I didn't know what a Lucid Dream was). So I've started a search on Google to find more information about my matter although I find everything pretty cool about it, I still have some doubts about Lucid Dreaming. Of course I do have some questions:
1) Is it easy to get lucid dreams? Is it scary when the dream becomes a nightmare?
2) Are there any chances of dying by fear? If not then I don't bloody care how scary my dream will be.
3) When you are lucid dreaming, do you actually have the control of yourself, like you were in real life? I mean do you watch everything in a first person view?
4) I have heard of the sleeping paralysis issue. Well I have to say that this is kinda dump, I mean even if you are not lucid dreaming, when you are sleeping your mind shuts your body off so you will not hurt. Am I right?
5) If you become a lucid dreamer, will you suffer from hallucinations?
Another last thing about myself. I am 17 years old, I have no sleeping problems at all. Though, I have chosen not to remember my dreams/nightmares. Sometimes I have bad dreams and experiences, I can hardly remember any good dream, but I can imagine of one. For instance, I would like when lucid dreaming, shapeshifting myself to Dante from Devil May Cry, being at hell and beating the crap out of demons with a blow of my sword. Another scenario that I would like to have a lucid dream with would be a star wars one, I would like to be Starkiller, using both Sith/Jedi forces to do my own shit.
Although I am being afraid from lots of things, imaginary things, like demons, that girl from exorcist etc etc. So I wouldn't be afraid of any normal person like terrorists and stuff.
Lastly, if I manage to get lucid dreams, will I be able to manipulate everything around as I like? Will I also be able to communicate with my subconscious mind?
Since I am new here, I will make some further search on the forums so I wont be a burden to you. But it would be much appreciated by me if you would answer to my questions.
P.S.: As I mentioned above I have no problem at sleeping, I don't take any pills, I don't suffer from any diseases. So I wont take any vitamins and stuff like that in order to enhance lucid dreaming.
P.S.2: I am really afraid of mirrors, especially at nights. I don't know why, but I feel that something will happen while staring at the mirror.
