      Hello DV

      Hello everyone,

After having scoured DV for a month or two, I finally decided to join up. Because of my huge ego in life, I tend to go it alone whenever I can. But I thought that might not be such a good idea with LDing. Also, after having shamelessly pillaged all that material from DV, I felt bad . So here I am, hoping to receive some and give some back.

My first encounter with lucid dreaming happened when I was a child. I had then made the conscious decision to stop to a recurring nightmare. And one night, while I was being pursued by giant bugs for like the fourth time that week, it just dawned on me that it had to be a dream. I can only remember how good that flash of lucidity felt at the time.

I discovered LDing a couple of months ago. I trained from time to time, trying not to mess my finals too badly with my new sleeping experiments. But my finals became too pressing, so I gave it a rest. And right before taking LDing up again, I had a short LD, which I failed to control because of the excitement.

So there I am, working hard at it and happy to be here.

Hey Don, and welcome to Dreamviews! I'm glad to hear you've had some experiences with lucid dreaming before! They're amazing right? Once you have one, you'll get all your motivation to have another! It's really exciting when you get a good long one, where you can do whatever you want!

You should be keeping a dream journal, I don't know if you are or not, but it's super important to keep one! It tells your brain that dreams are important to you, and it well get you in the habit of remembering your dreams! What's the point of lucid dreams if you can barely remember them?
