      newb here, i gotta question?

IVE been dreaming pretty decently and have been remembering 4 dreams the last couple of nights, but the dreams seem to be pretty short, or at least when i wake up i cant recall much about them, when ever i wake up in the night, i wright down the key points like where, what, who was there, but when i fully get up in the morning i try wrighting down more details but i always know that im forgeting something, that i prevesly remembered when i got up the first time. so tonight ill wright down everthing i remember when i get up the first time and see if that will increase dream recall. anyways im wondering if thinking about dreaming in the day or reading a book about dreaming before i go to bed will increase dream recall? any suggetions or thoughts?

Generally most people (and I) will tell you that Yes, it will.

I've never seen any evidence on the matter besides that which is anecdotal but you can never go wrong with putting more importance on your dreams in your waking mind.

Yeah putting dreaming in your subconscious can and should only help you with dreaming. I get the same thing if I don't write down my dreams as I wake from them.

Sometimes I have days where I don't remember any dreams, and other days I remember multiple dreams! Some days are good and others are bad.

But the more you do your dream journal, the better you'll get at recalling dreams. And telling yourself before bed that you will remember your dreams helps, well, it helps me!
