      Hey, new to Lucid Dreams.

Hello everyone on the forum, hope they're having a fantastic day and thanks for reading my post. I'm trying to get into Lucid Dreaming ever since my brother introduced me. (He has only had DILD's but I was still jealous.) I'm trying to do constant RC's but it seems hard to remember. I guess with time we just do it subconsciously? I've started to write a dream journal and just last night I remembered about 3 and a half dreams(one is super cloudy) But others like the skydiving one last night was extremely vivid.
      Spoiler for Dream:
I am trying new methods with MILD, like WILD. But alas i am still new and have much to go. I still cant get past the SP during WILD, i can move, but barely so more like partial paralysis. From there i can hear a buzzing noise but that's about it, no HH or HI nothing. And i am doing WBTB method and even have tried to change the time around. I hope to have more success as the days go on because I cant just hope for a quick fix, but will have to work for it.
      Have a nice day.

Welcome to Dream Views! First, if you are still aware you will be able to break SP by concious effort. Therefore in WILD you can never test SP. the act of testing SP will ruin it! You are only kept from acting out the dream motions, but can always make yourself move if you try, so don't try. It sounds to me as if you have made it to SP.
MILD is the best way to get LDs. WILD is not at all easy. It sounds easy, but it requires a meditation like state that is hard to learn. Stick with it but govus on MILD as your main thing.
      Good luck and have fun!!!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah well i kind of have a competitive mind so i tend to do things that other say is hard. (Example, the first time i went snowboarding i tried to do a backflip, after about 10 backbreaking attempts i finally got it) So i will stick with MILD and keep attempting WILD until i get it. I mean hey you got to do it sometime. Now that i think about it i may have moved a finger or two in SP
Thanks again for the help, everywhere i turn i am surrounded by helpful people.
I see you have 2000+ LD, i envy you

The good news is, it is really really hard to break your neck learning WILD. Should be less dangerous than back flips.

At least i was wearing a helmet right, and had the support of my friends. Wait now that i think about it, it was more like peer pressure?

Totally off topic, but I have a friend who is crippled (can not run or jog at all, and fused back) from trying to do extreme snow boarding. Lding is clearly much safer, and if you get good at it, you can snow board off 1000' cliffs and do triple back flips. Now there is a reason to learn.

I'm sorry about your friend and hope he lives happily, my cousin's best friend is crippled and last time I was at my cousins, he beat me in basketball like 24 to 2, then again i do wrestle instead.
I have a question, when i was in a dream last night (after another failed WILD attempt and just went to bed) i fell asleep in the dream, and in the dream inside the dream i was lucid, i asked myself if i was dreaming and then looked at my hands. Which were HUGE! After about 10 seconds i woke up from the dream inside the dream, and was now just in a dream. I then asked myslef if i was dreaming and looked at my hands which were normal size, even though i was dreaming, why was this if it was the same Dream, now i wish i did more than one RC but then again i am making progress!

Though i am not counting that as a true Lucid dream in my LD count

RC can fail to give results. It is easy enough to dream that your hands look normal and have 5 fingers each. Try also examining how you feel and such, which is called a mental RC. A simple one is that when you do your RC like examining your hands, also try to remember how you got where you are. Often the clue that brings lucidity is the realization that nothing makes sense when you try to think about things, like how did I get here, or what did I do a few hours ago.
