Hello! Now to try this again...

      Hi all!

I am going to try and get back into lucid dreaming after leaving it several years. I have good dream recall (can remember 3-4 a night if I try hard) but I'm lazy and so keeping a regular schedule and doing RCs and keeping a dream journal was too much when I did it before. I got fairly close and had about 3 semi-lucid dreams (I thought 'I want to fly' and I did but I wasn't really in control at all). I am willing to work for it now though, lucid dreaming is so enticing!

Everyone here was so friendly and helpful when I was trying before so I thought I'd come back

      Welcome to the forums!

If you're lazy with your RCs then I would suggest you try preforming RCs whenever you go outside/inside. For example do one when you leave your house for work (or school), do one when you get to work, one when you leave work, then one when you get home. It may sound like a lot but it's spread out over several hours and gives a good number of RCs, not too much but still enough. Just be sure whenever you preform a RC you are really questioning reality and not just going through the motions, if you just blindly plug your nose then when you do it in a dream your brain won't recognize the fact that it's telling you that you're in a dream and you won't get lucid.

Good luck and keep at it!

Hi Xen! I think I share your problem ... I've been trying on and off to lucid dream for the past year or so, but I go through periods where I just stop trying and don't even write down my dreams or anything. I just got back on track recently, and I'm remembering more dreams––plus my dreams have gotten more interesting in the past few days. Reality checks and dream journals really do help a lot! Good luck.

I can't remember what my old username was :S I'll try and dig it up from my emails. I am very enthusiastic right now, I just need to keep it up! Am going to try All Day Awareness and DEILD on top of RCs and keeping a dream journal.
