That's okay, I only just got back into LDing too.
Just tell yourself "I'm going to record my dreams from now on!", and do that.

It's really hard to try to write your dreams down in the middle of the night, so don't.
What I do is just sit up and go over the events of the dream in my head.
Do this several times so that your dream is stored in your long-term memory.

Another thing that will help is to put a notepad and a pencil by your bedside table, not to record the dream, just to write down a few key-words to help you remember better in the morning.
Going over the dream in your head a few times is vital, so don't forget to.

Once you're confident you've got the dream in your head, just roll over and go back to sleep.

I agree with the previous post. Are you having trouble recalling the dreams themselves? Or having trouble with writing them down?

Also try to remind yourself why you want to lucid dream. It might help if you actually write down a list, for motivation If you want, make a list of simple personal lucid goals you would like to achieve. Making goals I think really boosts your subconscious and helps you get into the lucid mindset.

Start posting again, and reading through peoples dream journals. Nothing motivates as well as a little healthy jealousy
