      Post Hello everyone :)

My name is John and I Would like to say "hi" to everyone in this community. I've read over a few threads, and it seems like a great place for me to explore lucid dreaming. I recently started meditation with brainwave entertainment, and it has really increased my self awareness. From here, reading other peoples experiences with meditation, I stumbled on lucid dreams and what they are. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you, and I would like to learn as much as possible.

Hello John and welcome to Dreamviews.

I've been studying and practicing Lucid Dreaming for some years now and I do believe youve found a great community of Dreamers here. Do you by chance have a device capable of playing Pandora? I've been listening to a station called Meditation by the Sea Radio and it's got some great stuff. Feel free to add me as a friend here and I will assist you in any way that I can in your Lucid Dreaming endeavors.
      I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
      Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

I do have Pandora and an iPhone, so I'll have to check it out. I will add you, thank you very much for your welcoming. Currently I'm working on few areas to start lucid dreaming. First, I'm keeping a dream journal that I write in every morning (occasionally in the middle of the night). When I first started I could barely remember one dream a night. Now I'm up to about three, and the are becoming more realistic feeling. Next I'm practicing a couple different reality checks as often as i can remember. I check my digital clock on my phone/computer, and try and will my right finger to push through my left palm. This is where I start to find a little frustration. I've actually had a few dreams where a character has told me about reality checks, what they are, and now to preform them, and I don't realize I'm dreaming until I'm awake. ><

Yea, practice and awareness are key. The more you question things in waking life, the more likely you are to question them in the Dreamscape as well. All in good time my friend. Just a suggestion, but I would try a different kind of RC other than the palm trick. For instance, try to remember how you got to be where you are in the Dream. Dreams jump around so your memory will not be linear when you are Dreaming and when you realize this, voila, Lucid Dream.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Don't be frustrated, the fact that you dream about lucid dreaming is a great sign. Your daytime activities are showing up in your dreams. All you need is keep doing your practice and add some daytime awareness training.

DJ is great, I can see it had already helped you with dream recall. Check out this article for more RCs - you will see that some are more reliable than others. And please put some emotion into them - it's the quality, rather than quantity. You will find here more about awareness and other things. I would also recommend you read this article about awareness. Good luck and Happy dreams

Okay cool. So let me see if i understand how to go about doing that. Last night I had one dream that jumped around from many different locations. So by what saying "how you got to be where you are in the Dream" this is what you mean? So in my waking life I need to be more focus on my general settings. For example I would ask my self "Where am I currently?"
