      Hey DV!

Well I just now signed up at DV obviously. First time here but I have had lucid dreams before. The most I've had in a row was 2. Alas, I am in a dry spell right now and am looking to cure it and then some! Thinking of maybe signing up for DVA if I have enough time. Starting an online dream journal for all dreams that I can recall mostly.

      See you around the forums

      Hey Blotter! Welcome to DV

Have you checked this out yet? Ending A Dry Spell - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

Definitely join one (or more) of the DVA classes if you can! They can be really helpful and can certainly put you on the right track.

Looking forward to seeing you around. Good luck! And feel free to ask any questions or share your ideas.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Well, here is what I've done so far, I'm VERY confident on having a LD very soon. I just made an old composition book I had into my newly refined bed-side DJ. Wrote notes in the first few pages from Naiya's general LD'ing tutorial just as a refresher. Added motivational pages for me, I don't know, it seems like a great idea. I am also going to try and record in it every morning, whether I had an LD or not. Just to keep my mind on it.

      Thanks for the link paigeyemps!

I can't lie, I'd say it is definitely my fault for having this dry spell. I'd say the last LD I had was 4 months ago, and I had about 20-30 LD's before that (rather consistently, too). I kind of just stopped practicing all day awareness, then my LD's just started fading away. I miss waking up extremely happy because I had an amazing LD the night before, or hell, that I even had a split second inside an LD. And plus, LD's are one of the most fun and interesting thing a human can experience, and it's free & natural & perfectly legal!

I'm also starting to take all my vitamins and exercising on the reg. Hopefully I will see an improvement on my dreams as much as I do on the rest of my body! Do you know anything about meditation? I am getting really interested into meditation lately and am looking for some reading material if you had any you could provide.

      Welcome!

Dryspell is only a dryspell when you view it as a dryspell. If you instead think that the next night is a new oppurtunity and actively note what you think you can do better and what you think made you come closer your goal, in other words evaluate your attempts, well then you will both increase your chances of lucid dreaming each night, but also understand exactly what YOU need to do to get one.

Check out my Dream Journal and you can see that I learn something new each night, although for now I am focusing on astral projection. But you see my point

      Sweet dreams!

Thank you sir! I am setting up my homepage for my DJ as I speak. I can hopefully have a dream up to read tomorrow if anybodies interested, my dreams have been rather strange lately.

Hmm I honestly don't know much about meditation. I haven't delved into it yet, and I mostly just do relaxation techniques before bed. But you can check out Sivason's Dream Yoga Class if you'd like.

I will check it out. I haven't delved into it much either, but I feel its something I should be doing. After talking to my friends at various other forums and they say it really is great to meditate.

I meditate every day and it's really simple, although not in the beggining because in the beggining you judge yourself and are to stressed out of how you should be, just like people are on blogs.
They really want to plan exactly how they want to be in order to get appreciated which they in turn want to be so they can feel happy. However the happiness of being who you truly are and then getting appreciated feels better than the happiness of being something your not. That is why I meditate instead of blogging However I have an astral projection journal/ blog... But that's because I need it to evaluate my progress xD

Anyway enough with the wisdom... Meditation can be anything from counting to visualizing a candle. For me the most simple thing is to focus on the breathing.

When I first started out I hated it because it felt like it was useless, and I had also read somewhere that I should try to stop thinking, so I beat myself up because that was really hard to achieve.
It was not until I had done this for a while and stopped judged myself and just thought "let whatever that happens happen" that I started to realize that I was in a calm peaceful and tranquil state of mind.
The simple solution to reach this state is to, practice and know from the begining that you can't meditate in a wrong way! Whenever a thought comes to your mind just acknowledge it and then focus on the breathing again.

It should also be noted that it is really easy to fall asleep if you lay on your back, so I suggest that you meditate in a sitting posture.

      I wish you the best!

My wisdom tip of the day: There is no good and bad, only perspective. When you change the perspective you can be.

To really see my point watch this video of the wonderful Spiritscience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4ozP5fHebc
