      New member here. Hello.

Just arrived to this forum, glad to be here. Been looking for resources on Lucid Dreaming for a while now.

Some backstory: In the last nine or so months I've gradually changed my perspective of things and have come to realize that, indeed "there are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio" than what the eye can see. I've grown very interested in the entire phenomenon of the mind, inner space, etc.

I used to be able to have Lucid Dreams, back when I was younger, during my early teenage years. However, around age 17 or 18 I stopped being able to. I have no idea if it had anything to do with the more pessimistic/nihilistc point of view I started nourishing and that grew and grew until just a year or so ago, but I lost all ability of control. However, my dream recollection ability remained almost intact. I still can remember details from dreams I had years ago.

I hope I can get some nice tips and stories from the folks here, it's an ability a miss and hopefully will help me have a better understanding of my mind.

      Let's dream now!

      Welcome to Dreamviews.

I have heard this from others, that they lost the ability to naturally have lucid dreams, as they got older. Well, that just means, than now you'll have to work for it.

Here is a Beginner's guide I recommend to start with. It will tell you about different induction techniques. You are free to choose any, but just so you know, DILD is the easiest one, at least untill you have little more experience.

Details about techniques are in our DV Wiki and in the forums. If you interested in getting some personalized guidance, look at the DV Academy.

Of course, you can always post your questions or experiences in the forums. Happy dreams

I have no idea what views you are talking about but now you have the Dreamview (haha) and that should be enough to induce some awareness in your dreams.
If you need any help just contact us or start a thread. Sweet dreams

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys

I'll probably open a thread on the discussion forum about something that I am testing and in fact gave me a positive result last night, not exactly lucidity, but a positive result in as much getting into my subconscious the right data that will help me realize I am dreaming. I'm still working around the rough edges of the hypothesis, so we'll see how it goes tonight.

      Sweet dreams!

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

The very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
