      Hello like minded friends.

      Hello Like minded friends,

My name is Joseph McIntosh, I have known about lucid dreaming for about 4-5 years now. I've read a lot on the topic itself, as well as other spiritual techniques. Astral Projection was the main thing I was going for when I first started to dive into the dream world. I also try to meditate as much as i can, though i could do it a lot more. lol. However I believe that meditation puts you in a similar state as Lucid Dreaming, So practicing both can go hand-in-hand.

But enough about me, I am here to learn and to help teach eventually, I haven't Obtained Lucidity More than a handful of times, and would absolutely love to Hear what idea's people have for me and my friends who also want to become avid lucid dreamers. So yeah any help will be great. thank you.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I know you not a total beginner, but you could start by reading our tutorials in DV Wiki and in forums. I'm pretty sure you get some more ideas from them. If you know which induction technique you would like to use, check out the DV Academy and sign up for a free class.

You can always post your questions, we'll be happy to help. Happy dreams

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I love your introduction, and I can write a book about all the things you just mentioned... But I have promised myself to write a short post for once

Read my Dream Journal, I am currently exploring the world of astral projection and OBEs my self and occasionally write guides to make myself remember and to teach others

Remember this. Sleep is unconscious meditation, meditation is conscious sleep. It sort of put the dreaming and meditation in a new perspective.

I really want to write and discuss astral projection with you, but I also really need to eat breakfast. Sigh..... priorities...

      Nevermind I'll survive somehow

Your absolutely right about meditation. In my opinion it's the only mindset and at the same time technique you need for any lucid dreaming induction.

This doesn't mean that one has to do meditatation in order to succeed, it just means that one is already doing it when one succeeds

Meditation practise for me lets me let go of ego and to stop getting hopes and expectations and just be.

When we are dreaming our consciousness is directed to our (subconscious, memories and emotions), when we can go beyond ourself, well at least what we in daily life call ourselfs, which is the three components I named before, then one can be and understand that you are. And that everything is a part of nature, because we are nature.

When one go beyond like this when we are alive, we still have access to our personality but we are not actively focusing on it, this is the ideal state to astral project/ OBE to higher frequencies than what we dream in.

I just realized that I failed to write a short post again... But I can at least stop myself from making it longer ^-^

If you need any help or want to discuss don't hesitate to ask!

      Welcome to DV!

My underlings covered pretty much all of it I've done some meditating myself and it's said to improve dream recall and clarity of your dreams. Especially if you do it just before bed.

Like the rest of them said, questions will be answered, so ask them!
