      Hi there dreamers!

      Hello everyone!

My name is Philip, I'm from Denmark and I'm 19 years old. I just recently found out about lucid dreaming (around mid October) and felt that this was something i just HAD to explore! So, now I've started, I've read through some guides and gradually expanded my dream journal, which has helped me remember a lot of my dreams. At this point, I can usually gather from 1-2 dreams per night, and now I know I dream some pretty weird stuff when I sleep.

I (think) I've had my first lucid dream, it was something like a DILD. Basically, I suddenly found myself in a room similar to my brothers, and without even hesitating I went to have a look at my hands (I've practiced what to do in case I become lucid) and I could not even count how many fingers I had they were that unclear. However, looking at them made me sure I was dreaming and I gained some more control. It seems to be usual that people learn lucid dreams to try lucid dreaming sex, and I decided to try that as well. I walked down a hallway and saw a door on the right. I wanted to see a nice girl when I opened the door, and I did. After that, I went on to try all sorts of awesome crazy stuff. I did find it hard to keep the dream stable and I did have to try rubbing my hands against each other at some point to keep everything in focus. I've already figured that lucid dreaming sex is probably not for me (the real deal seems a lot better), and I think there are more constructive things I can do with my dreams. I think my dream lasted a good 15-20 minutes. I've not yet been able to recreate the sensation of being able to control my dream since that first time.

Lately I've started to look into WILD'ing, but I am still only getting the hang of it, so it might still be a while before I am able to try, and do it.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to talking to you on the forums!

      Cheers,
      Kruse

      Welcome Kruse. Nice experience

Keep recalling and your chance of experiencing a lucid dream will increase naturally. Althoguh feel free to use methods for a little added chance.

But just remember that the more you practise the more you'll progress.

Sweet dreams! And enjoy your stay, and ask if you need any help.

      Hi Kruse! Welcome to DreamViews.

Congratulations on your lucid dream! You did a really great job. Keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure you'll have plenty more of them.

If you need anything, ask away! Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Thanks to both of you! As I'm a rookie, I'll probably have lots of questions as I expand my knowledge about lucid dreaming and all the techniques!

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. There is no quick answer to your question, but the Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
