      Hello :3

Hey! I'm rob, I'm 20 years old and I'm interested in learning to control my dreams with higher success.

I have always had lucid dreams. When I was younger I had very little control, and very fragmented and short dreams. As I got older the dreams started to become more clear, I started to be able to control myself, smell, taste you name it. I have always been interested in my dreams but I have never actually pursued any sort of information pertaining to dreams.

I have posted a few re-occurring dreams on Hip Forums, and I was referred here for more information. There's a lot to learn, but since dreams are a part of life, I don't feel it wise to ignore them.
I'm excited to learn, and see what everyone has to share!

      Hey Rob,
Welcome to Dreamviews, it's great that you have had lucid dreams when you were younger this will aid you a lot especially with getting past the barrier of having your first lucid dream at you current age. A small word of advice for you is never to give up, I made this huge mistake it says my lucid count is just 1 but its really 15-20 because of me doing a re-boot due to a long lucid dry spell. ( the worst ) you will really enjoy what this community has to offer, it is by far the best way to get lucid because you are interacting with Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced lucid dreamers, there's nothing better. Hope this journey is a great one for you, it's both a eye opener and changes the way you look at yourself. The most important thing is to have fun after all that's what it's all about
P.S. Btw which state are you from, sorry I love asking this question I go to the US a lot

      Hey Rob, welcome to DV!

Make sure to check http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/ if you haven't yet. It's got the basic info as well as some links to tutorials around the site.

Also, i agree with the previous poster. I'm sure you'll have a great time being here. I thought you might be interested in these:

If you want, there are also free classes in the DV Academy. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I recommend looking into one of the pioneering academics of Lucid Dreaming, Stephen LaBerge. If you feel you want to take your dreaming to the next level, I highly recommend checking out his book.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream Guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

I hope to save you some time by giving you a link to a thread we all put together on the topic Sleep Paralysis. There has been so much misinformation and confusion on this topic, that after a few days on the sight, you would surely run into confusing statements refering to SP. Save yourself some frustration and read this post if you want to know about SP, http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/sleep-...lained-136993/

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
