      Talking On a Journey

Hello, I am not new to Lucid Dreaming. I had a view OBE's when i was young and randomly have partially lucid nightmares. I am here to gain some control over my dreams. I have a lot of questions no one seems to have the answer for lately, I was hopping my dreams may have the answer. Looking around on how to start a dream journal I discovered this wonderful place. I hope it helps me and I can return the favor.

Hello redeeming monk. You've found an excellent source of information here. I'm sure that you will find help here. How bout to share a few of those questions you have?
      I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
      Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

Welcome RedeemingMonk! To create a Dream Journal you just click on the "Dream Journal" on the top of the page and then you click "Create DJ Entry".

It's great that you joined because this forum can help you to attain all of your dreams (literally)

And lucid dreams are a great place to learn and understnad yourself, becasue dreams are a literal experience of the ego and what makes your personality.

Subconscious, memories and emotions. Go beyond the ego and you can have an out of body experience or in other words a consciousness directed away from your ego.

And these experiences can answer the big questions as "Who am I?", "What is my purpose on this earth?", and last but not least "What is consciousness?"

But I hope that you enjoy your stay, and I wish you sweet dreams. Also remember to ask if you need any help!

      Sweet dreams!

Well, I just started teaching, but I am not sure this is what I want to do. No one seems to have an answer besides "Be lucky you have a job in the economy." Not the answer I really want. I am also a poet of sorts. This is my dream as I believe it to be, but for someone reason I haven't had my big break. Which has sent me into a rather large period of writers block. I am hoping more lucidity will spark my writing again or I can ask someone in my mind why I can't seem to write. Among many failed relationships of the past months with friends and an ex many questions have been coming at me that I dont have any answers for, so LD sounded like the best way to ask my inner me for some clarity.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream Guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

I hope to save you some time by giving you a link to a thread we all put together on the topic Sleep Paralysis. There has been so much misinformation and confusion on this topic, that after a few days on the sight, you would surely run into confusing statements refering to SP. Save yourself some frustration and read this post if you want to know about SP, http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/sleep-...lained-136993/

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
