Cool Are my dreams trying to tell me that I'm dreaming? Anyone else?

I just started working towards lucid dreaming two days ago. I was a little overzealous and tried WILD. I think I got to the point of sleep paralysis and started to see images but they quickly dissipated, boo. That night I didn't dream (or remember dreaming I guess). Last night I tried WILD again with the same results as the previous. That night though I had 3 vivid non-lucid dreams, and it was awesome. I started a dream log, and after rereading what I wrote and notice something and wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else....

During the first dream I was talking to a man in a hallway. We were standing on either side of a women's bathroom. We were talking, when suddenly and woman interrupted our conversation by walking inbetween us. She pushed the door to the bathroom, and when I thought she would enter she stood there and stared at me with a solemn and friendly look. After a few seconds she turned and walked into the bathroom, the door clossed, and the rest of the dream played out for a few seconds before ending.

During the second dream I was with some friends in a kitchen. We were standing by the door to a house to leave when the dream ended.

During the last dream I was in a van with four friends of mine. I was sitting in the front seat because the driver said that he wanted me too. We drove up to an old wooden house that resembled a barn and sat there in the van parked in front of the door. At this point one of my friends dissappeared. After a few seconds the door opened, a second friend dissappeared. Standing in the doorway with door partially open was a teenager, someone I used to know in middle school. He stared at me with the same look as the woman in the first dream. After a coupld seconds, the car was put into reverse, and my friend pulled away from the house. The dream ended.

      Things I noted:

*In the first and last dreams the doorway swung in towards the room the woman and the teen were entering or standing in.

*In the first and last dreams, the only faces of the people that I saw and can remember the ones who stared at me and looked me in the eye.

*All three dreams ended a few seconds after approaching a door.

Were my dreams attempting to tell me that I was dreaming? Did they give up when they realized I wasn't going to become conscious of my dream? Does it mean I'm not capable yet? Has anyone else experienced this? Have any other beginners experience the same thing? Any shared experience would be great.

This experience has got me wicked excited to become lucid s

      Hey fvkover, welcome to DreamViews.

I honestly can't say if your dream was trying to tell you something. In the end, it really is all up to the dreamer to interpret his/her own dreams. But I can tell you this: you are capable. Just keep doing your dream journal, and read up as much as you can about lucid dreaming. Soon, you will get some decent lucid dreams.

Oh and btw, those things you feel in the WILD attempt aren't SP. They're nothing to worry about, they're simply sensations that may or may not accompany a WILD attempt since you're maintaining awareness as your body goes to sleep.

      Good luck,

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Welcome to DV! ^What she said You're beginning to show signs of awareness which is great. With a few weeks of practice I'm sure you'll start having LD's regularly. Keep on trying though and don't give up.

Thanks for your input. Last night I almost had a lucid dream, but I woke up. I'll keep the journal going, it seems to really be helping, each night I remember 3-4 dreams. Thanks again.
