Let's see how this goes =)

      Hi everyone:

Normally, I'm not much of a Forum goer. Really, the funny thing is that in person I am a social butterfly of sorts, however that does not seem to translate through the textual input of the Forum-based internet. So hopefully this time will be different.

I am an avid student of Occult Science and the Esoteric. During my younger days, empowered by my knowledge of the Lesser and Greater Keys of Solomon, I used to exorcise haunted houses in the Adirondacks of Northern New York for free to test my skills as well as to savor the chance at interacting with the Otherworld. However, being the young fool that I was, there was no preparing for the things that are attracted to a young and stupid Magus. I now merely study, and rarely do I practice.

Dreaming is an interesting thing: I have experienced many different types of it. There are dreams that are just images of the subconscious during REM. There are dreams that are obviously veiled messages. There are dreams in which we speak to the dead. Dreams in which we speak to the living (even if they are 1000 miles away, and then they call you up swearing they saw you and described your actions which were that of the very dream you had)... There are even dreams in which one soars through the cosmos of space.

Personally, in my studies I have become close to convinced that Dream States are the soul's return to the Otherworld. Therefore, the afterlife is a return to the Great Dream. Sounds Native American, I'm sure. However, herein lies the meaning of life:

How is it I knew EXACTLY what sex felt like (or the act of penetrating a woman) way before I even came close to setting aside my virginity? (or even self-satisfaction for that matter) In the beginning, sex in dreams was always short and to the point. It was as if I were instantaneously performing the act of transferring my genetic material with whatever partner I was with in the dream. Now-a-days, however, with my experiences with women throughout my life, the "sex scenes", if you will, are more drawn out. I have attributed this to more of an unlocking of experience rather than an acquisition of said experience. This conclusion was made after a very interesting dream in which I copulated with a red-haired woman. Though in the dream she appeared human, I had the sense afterwards that while she was indeed a being of some sort, she was not another dreaming human being. My first suspicion of this was when I approached her for intercourse. She seemed confused, but trusting and reacted with patient obedience to me positioning her to fulfill my intent. It also intrigued me that the red-haired woman reacted with surprise at my ability to draw out the sexual engagement. Afterwards, we appeared together on an ancient-style balcony (think greek architecture) overlooking a large field of bending wheat. Never once did she utter a word. Our communication was purely through body language and empathy. I felt that she had enjoyed our time together and that, somehow, she had marked me for something; I don't know. It was from this dream that I felt that where we go when we dream is populated with spiritual (or dream-bound) creatures that, because of our experiences, take the form of that which will cause the least amount of shock: Another human being. I also believe, through this dream and others, that because of what sex is, biologically, we (or maybe I) tend to engage in sexual intercourse with other dreamers (or beings in the dream world) due to the fact that it is the most intimate way to know another person in our world, especially through sharing genetic material to create that which is a combination of the two that created it. Hence even old writings such as the Bible referring to the act of sex as "coming to know" one another. But I digress...

I am hoping to find someone in this forum that is serious, knowledgeable, and friendly. Likewise, though my expertise are not in dreams, I am more than happy to offer what knowledge I have on Occult History, Occult Science, Occult Practice, Demonology, and Natural/White/Black/Brown/Angelic Magic(k) as well as knowledge of Exorcism and various applicable spirituality practices in exchange for the knowledge I request on the study of dreams.

Sorry for the wall of text. I'm glad to be here. Hope to make friends. Thanks!

      Welcome to DV!

That has to be one of the most interesting intro's I've read so far The really cool thing about dreams is that we don't know that much about them, there are as many theories as there are dreamers and everyone's got a right to his or her own belief. I suggest you check this part of the forum out: Beyond Dreaming it's full of open minded people like you, I'm sure you'll find answers and like minded people in there.

      Keep on dreaming!

      Right on, Matte87.

Welcome, Feorgemynd. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Wow, Feorgemynd, you were having sex with an alien hybrid. And all the things you mentioned are traits of those hybrids. It was probably dimensional as well, since the dream state can sometimes be an insertion into another dimension. Lots to explain if this sounds right to you and I am new here too, so I still have to do my intro. It won't be near as interesting as yours. Just one question about the occult. How have you dealt with the fact that the occult is now being used by many for evil purposes???? How are you handling that?

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream Guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

I hope to save you some time by giving you a link to a thread we all put together on the topic Sleep Paralysis. There has been so much misinformation and confusion on this topic, that after a few days on the sight, you would surely run into confusing statements refering to SP. Save yourself some frustration and read this post if you want to know about SP, http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/sleep-...lained-136993/

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
