Smile New member :] had first lucid dream last night

Iv been diary keeping (not very consistently I'm afraid to admit). Id taken notice of a few frequent dream signs tho and had been doing waking world checks but for about two or 3 weeks but for some reason in the last 4-5 day i just kept forgetting to do waking world checks.

Sleeping in my boyfriends bed after being awake for over 36 hours I fall asleep and at some point begin dreaming then waking then falling asleep again and dreaming. During, I guess, my fourth dream I become lucid.

I don't remember any detail from before my lucidity but for some reason it occurs to me to do a check. This is the first time i believe that I have ever done a check in my dream. I dont know what made me think or want to do it but I begin to do a check by trying to push my finger tru my palm, even tho im (naturally) skeptical that its a dream as. Im not sure why but I didn't get overly excited at all when I realise im dreaming, don't get me wrong i had my fun which Id like to keep private . I was more intrigued. I was lucid for what felt like about 10 minutes in my dream

Can anyone hazard a guess as to why I didn't get that made rush of colours or euphoria most people describe?

Seems an odd night for lucidity to happen when I was not trying to guide my mind in that direction

I'm very excited to have join here, can only be a possitive thing

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Sometimes you get a lucid when you not trying at all. That happens. And although many report euphoria upon realizing, some say they don't have it. Maybe in your next one. But I bet your LD was that long because you didn't get excited. Getting excited is one of the most common reasons why we wake up just after few seconds. So consider yourself lucky?

Check out the forums and post your questions and experiences. Happy dreams

I can't say that I've ever had a rush of color or euphoria when having a lucid dream. My first lucid dream I remember being happy about it and trying to do things that I couldn't quite do (frustrating!) but I enjoyed it anyway I'm so happy for you!
