I joined here primarily to share my first real successful lucid dream that I had this morning, but I thought a more general introduction might be nice first.
So, I came across this site about a week or so ago, when I was first researching lucid dreams and methods. I thought this might be a nice place to post.
I'm 21, from N.Ireland/UK. I finished a BSc in Physics last summer, and am nearly halfway through a 1 year MSc in Software Development. I quite like programming. I think it suits me better than physics. I like problem solving, which is what drew me to physics initially, because in school it was always a case of just thinking through problems, but it was quite different in university. Also, I like the idea of "learning a craft". Knowing a certain skill-set, and applying it to produce some sort of useful product. Pure science of course is essential for the progress of society, but in an indirect, abstract sense. I like the capabilities software development gives me, and I enjoy solving problems creatively.
Sorry, bit of a tangent lol. Incidentally, are there any people here interested in MBTI? I'm somewhat of an enthusiast. It might say more about me to say I'm a fairly typical INTP, than I could say here alone.
Well, I also play guitar (to maybe an intermediate level?), write some poetry, play computer games... I spend quite a lot of time researching things in general. I have a kind of drive to have at least a certain degree of competency in every area I deem important in life. Mostly, this includes science, computers, medicine, psychology... others, probably, that I can't remember. So I end up knowing quite a lot about these weird topics like lucid dreaming, and little about the things most people in real life themselves deem important I know essentially nothing about sport, or popular media. The things people all assume others are into, I tend not to be, but I could ramble on for ages about what I've found out recently about limerence, for example lol (I am currently in a strong limerent state, so of course I just research it to death because I have a need to analyse myself).
Well, this was a bit of a longer introduction than I intended. Sometimes I get carried away, and people think I'm a little crazy, as a first impression, but I'm ok with that
I'll go post about my dream in the WILD section, whenever I find it.
