Hello Forum - My greetings and some questions

I've been interested in dreaming for a while. Most of all control of Lucid dreaming. I've poked around here and there on the web seeking techniques, safe supplement consumption, (Vb6) etc, and can't be sure what has really worked for me. The latest closest thing to a lucid I had was a room with changing walls. Literaly changing before my eyes, as if going through different timelines and cultures. My problem is I usually wake in these events often. If I had the time that morning, it would have been a perfect time to venture further into the dream.
Why I'm here? Recently I was watching this show called DERREN BROWN INSIDE YOUR MIND. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check it out on HULU. On episode 2 they had this young man who went out with his friends to a bar. He played this zombie game that was fixed up to put him into deep sleep, and somehow immediately got him into a catatonic state. His friends were baffled as the host of the show smoothly lead them all to another building with a setting very similar to the game. They all watched from another room as he was signaled to wake up and experience the thrill of being what felt like inside the game. It was hard to tell if he was enjoying it, or freaked out of his mind. Probably both. But, what interested me is I had this idea that he may be in a waking dream like state. This really interested me also because I am a gamer
More so, it intrigued me as I am now wondering how I could use similar methods to possibly help my lucid dreaming. And what I can do to dream of things that I want to. Feel free to share your thoughts, thanks.

Welcome. There's a bunch of techniques for lucid dreaming. I just do reality checks (when I remember to) and hope for the best. Other use stuff like WBTB, WILDs, DILDs, and all those other acronyms. I don't really know that show but I also been a fan of video games since way back and my lucid dreams usually reflect the action like aspects of some games I been play and what not. Not sure if I offered much help but there's a lot of resources and people here as well.
      Good luck!

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream Guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, The Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

I hope to save you some time by giving you a link to a thread we all put together on the topic Sleep Paralysis. There has been so much misinformation and confusion on this topic, that after a few days on the sight, you would surely run into confusing statements refering to SP. Save yourself some frustration and read this post if you want to know about SP, Sleep Paralysis Explained

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, Can U Fly/ How Did You Learn?

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, 1000 things to do in a lucid dream!!!

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I also play games and I hear from gamers here that they often dream about the game they are playing at the moment.

If you want to dream about certain thing, you can think about it a lot during day, daydream, and then think about it as you falling asleep. It's called dream incubation and even if it may not work every time, sometimes it does and it's awesome.

B6 may help with dream being more vivid and detailed, just don't take it every day, or too much of it. And if you didn't read tutorials here on DV, I recommend you do, since they may differ greatly from those in other places. DV Academy - in case you wanna read the tutorials here, or join a class.

If there is anything you need help with, just post your question. Happy dreams
