hey everybody!
I am James from Miami, 22 years old here. I found out last week that I have
"sleep paralysis" I've known all my life, but never knew there was a name for it.
I would often wake up and realize I couldn't move. I could control some fingers,
my eyes, and little neck movement. Anyhow, most of you know how it works, but
I happened to get a hold of a very calming and informative message by a youtuber
called GizEdwards in which he spoke of WILD and other things. After following his
advice I tried to "WILD" the first night to induce my sleep paralysis and to hopefully
be able to lucid dream. I failed terribly the first time, but I didn't give up. The next day I tried
again and this time it worked! The "buzzing" sensation I get when I enter sleep
paralysis got a hold of me and this time I didn't fight it. Then "I got up" from bed
feeling very "light". As Giz told me I did a reality check and looked at my fingers, which
were too long to be real, so I knew I was "lucid dreaming". It lasted for what seemed
5 minutes, then I said to myself "this is awes..." I woke up .. -_-' 1 hours had really passed..
I tried to control my dream into making and old friend that passed away "appear" before
me but I knew that was a long shot and it didn't happen, but I am so happy to know that
my condition is not that much of a trouble as I always have thought of it. I hope to meet
other people and share stories as new experiences happen.
