      NM - Hello fellow forumites

Just started a Journal my friends. Got a few entries in it already but no Lucidity as yet - guessing it will take a lot of patience and persistence. I have been trying the WILD technique but find it hard to reach SP without falling asleep or becoming ridiculously bored and agitated of lying still for 40 minutes without any sign of progress. Maybe it might be best to think of all the things that you would do once Lucid? And writing it all down? As a sort of command to the subconscious???. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, or recommended reading material...

      Peace & Love

      Welcome to DV!

I think writing down your goals is good. Never tried by writing the whole thing down, because I like to only have an action and see what the reaction in a dream.

Going into SP is one way to WILD, but not the only way. I would recommend this way:

It is hard to WILD if you haven't been in an LD before. This is another tutorial that is pretty good for DILDing.

      Yo.
You don't need to enter SP to enter WILD, and in fact, it's not possible to actually induce that state unless you have sleep disorder with same name, normally it happens only once or twice per lifetime, if it ever happens. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html
Also check out WILD for more in-detail WILD tutorial.
And be sure to check out http://www.dreamviews.com/introducti...-dreaming.html too, some nice general information about lucid dreaming there and collection of tutorials.
Good luck on your journey into lucid dreaming.

Try the DEILD technique. It's a type of WILD that I personally find much easier than trying to obtain it through SP.

Thanks to all of you. Your help and guidance is much appreciated. Last night i had the most vivid dream i have had in long while and i couldn't believe how many details i could remember when i woke up. Although i wasn't Lucid i am hoping this is a step in the right direction.
