Red face Hello Dream Views ~

      Hey guys

I've only recently made an account on DV, though I've been using it for some time. I've been attempting lucid dreaming for two months now, and only achieved two so far, thanks to the Dv articles and forum posts. The ones that I have achieved were low awareness, and I barely had control of the first one. Lately this week, I've been neglecting reality checks, and my dream recall is only good on the weekends, because I have to wake up really early for school and have no time to write anything down. After taking a shot at WILD, I settled my focus on DEILD, but I haven't been able to wake up without moving, sometimes have too much awareness when I wake up, and sometimes not wake up at all. I haven't yet had another lucid dream, but I'm hoping to get more soon~

Any tips and suggestions would be great, thanks!

Welcome, glad you decided to make an account!

2 LDs in 2 months is not bad at all. I'm sure, it will get even better with more practice and more DJing.

If you don't have time to write whole dreams during week, write down at least some keywords and feelings, or voice record them on your phone or pc. That way, you will still remember them later, when you have time to write them down. DJing is quite important, because the act of thinking (writing, talking) about your dreams itself will give you better recall and it tells your mind that you like your dreams and remembering them. It really is one of the best tools a lucid dreamer can have.

If you move when you wake up from a dream, your REM will most likely end. But nothing is lost, as you can go for a WILD. It should be a quick process, since you are already very relaxed and relaxing your body is usually the longest part of WILDing.

      Thank you~

Usually, at 5:00 in the morning, it's hard for me to recall anything. I've tried a couple times but I just can't seem to remember anything, maybe if I try mantras, or just write down that I don't remember, it might help. On the weekends I can remember usually remember 2 dreams, an last night I wrote down 3, though one was not so detailed. I feel like I'm improving but just ditching the weekdays.

That explains why I try really hard to fall back asleep quickly while remembering my last dream but it never works. I have previously tries to WiLD after a failed attempt at a DEILD but I fall asleep too quickly and go into a normal dream. I guess if I work on them more I'll get better.

      Thanks for the feedback~

just write down that I don't remember, it might help
It does help If you strengthen the habit, then your mind will get ready to start recalling dreams (and pay more attention to them), as soon as you wake up. Sometimes it does take a minute or two (I suggest you to relax, hopefully you got time to do that ^^) but the fragments do end up showing up. It's good to see that you're motivated to work on your obstacles, that's the spirit

Welcome and see you around ^^

Trying out MILD? This is how you become skilled at it.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback. I'm focusing on doing that for the next couple weeks, I'll see how that goes~
