Post Hello everyone!- Shy newbie here!

Hi everyone! I've bee a fan of this site for a little while now, but have only lurked until now because I was too scared to introduce myself ^^; But oh well! I've got up my courage and finally did it! Nice to meet you all~ I haven't had any Lucid dreams yet, apart from the once I had when I was a tiny kid, and I've been trying with DILD for about a week now with no result.

Nice to meet you all and I hope to have many happy dreams!

Welcome to dreamviews, I think I speak for all of us when I say we are glad you finally decided to introduce yourself . Hope you get your first lucid dream soon (excluding the ones you had as a kid) and in case you are discouraged, don't be. It took me 3 weeks to get my first Lucid Dream and it lasted a whopping 3 seconds.

My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)

Hey there Chi, how's it going?

Ahh, no need to be shy, this is an extremely friendly community, so let your inner monster come out! hihihi

The trick to any DILD technique is to keep a steady and consistent routine: eventually, a lucid dream will show up, especially if you're under a conscious effort while doing your exercises, like reality checks, visualizations, mantras, etc. And of course, don't forget the importance of the other tools, like DJ! The better your remember your dreams, the more chances you'll get to get tips and tricks about them that can be useful to your DILD techniques. Good luck!

Trying out MILD? This is how you become skilled at it.

Welcome Chi. I was shy too at first. Took me a month to say hello for the first time. And I'm glad I did. I've enjoyed Dreamviews for over 7 years now and have had tons of lucid dreams. Stick with it--it takes practice. When the LDs come, you won't regret the effort you put into it.
