Unfortunately, there is no way to tell when you will be lucid: all of us become lucid at our own pace, also different techniques work for different people, so if one technique does not succeed for you in a week or two try another, although of course you should go to bed expecting to be lucid tonight - you can do it! When you do RCs, do you make sure to really question whether you are awake or asleep? Every 10 minutes is quite frequently, you may find that hard to sustain in the long run. Also it may be hard to take it seriously if it becomes just automatic, so you may want to do it less frequently, but with more invested in each time you question reality - really considering the implication that you could be dreaming right now.
