      Greeting s fellow dreamerss!

      Uhm yess, hello

My name is Jas, and i´ve been interested and captivated by dreaming...forever.

i mean really, I started writing down my dreams years ago, whenever I could remember something awesome enough
I only learned about lucid dreaming a couple of years ago, and have been practicing it ever since.
had a few lucid ones here and there, none that I could really influence, they were more like "lets see whats happening". Usually I´m just gaping around and being dumbfounded by how real everything looks.
However, my dreams are somewhat more complex than that, since I could always remember stuff from other dreams. I have what I call my dream-scape, an elaborate world where my dreams take place. It´s quite difficult to explain, and I´m not gonna bother you immediately with it, as it will probably take quite a while to write it down and read it.
In the meantime, the reason I joined this forum is because I had a dream recently that really baffles me, and I´m quite used to dreaming weird stuff and I thought maybe I´ll find someone here who can make some sense here. I will describe the dream in detail in the Dream Journal section.

Thank you and my best wishes for 2014 to y´all!

      jas

Welcome, Jas! Don't hesitate to tell us about your dream world, this is what DV is all about.

So, this is a go at trying to describe my dream world . It is actually a city. A big, pulsing city of which I know every corner and place. Nearly all of my dreams take place in this city. It is a melting pot of places I have seen before and some I haven't yet. Whenever I remember a dream, I play it through again, finding out which places I've visited. I remember them asleep as well as now in waking moments. I know the streets, know where I can find shops, where the library is. It has a restaurant port and there is a bar I quite love. some of the people belong take city too, like the bartender or the owners of a delicious Chinese takeaway in the center ( I work for them sometimes). I never lack of money in the city, because even if not lucid I always know that) have but to imagine any amount of money in my pockets and voila, I have it! I find myself walking through the city in waking moments, because it calms me and feels so like home. Now, I know that there are idealized representations of places I remember in real life, like the library that is huge and stuffed with so many marvellous books and maps... But some of the locations are two-faced and consist of both my idealised version and a nightmarish part (a bit like silent Hill if your're familiar with the franchise). Like a school I went to, where the upper floors are all right, but something lives in the cellar. But that's all right, I've never been scared by those parts, because they have a right to be there like everything else! Well, this is my first (very first) go at trying to describe something which feels so real to me ... but then again, I might have just too much imagination
