Hello, everyone. My name is splodeymissile. I first joined this site around about last year, where I was a fairly active poster. Some may say too active, but that's a different matter entirely. I spent most of my time on this site attempting to help people who had queries about lucid dreaming, with only occasional slip ups on my part. I intend to continue this practice if at all possible, unless there is a unanimous outcry of "NO!"
As for why I left, a slew of reasons, beginning with a surprise holiday thrown at my immediate family and me. Unfortunately, the hotel we were staying in was rather cheap and didn't feature an internet connection. Fortunately, we actually had an opportunity to do something our family hadn't done in a long time: bond. Tensions had been quite high across my family and this holiday helped to lesson them. Another reason for my continuous no show, was the combined stress of college and work, which, along with housework and basic socializing, left little time for me to even log on to the site, let alone do anything worthwhile. Luckily, my temporary contract has ended, given me a whole weekend of free time. Hopefully, I'll find a job with saner hours. The biggest reason is a mix of failing most of my first year of college, the death of two cats, my grandma's rapidly increasing senility, my mother's constant stream of illnesses, which is doing little to help her rather explosive temper and the falling out with a very good friend (that has now been patched up, thankfully) all leading to a bout of depression which left me utilizing most of my free time for video games, for the escapism alone, neglecting lucid dreaming entirely, due to stress not exactly doing wonders for regularity.
That has changed, however. My second year has been much more successful and I may find myself going out with a lovely girl in the near future, which will do wonders for self-esteem, if nothing else. My grandma has left her stubbornness at the door and is now accepting help from other relatives. I have mostly gotten over the deaths of my two cats and my mother's improving health (its amazing what following doctor's orders do for you)
All in all, life has completely turned around and I happy to resume being a part of this community again. Thank you for reading.
