      Hello! And a question.

      I am new here and very excited to be a part of Dream Views. I have had several lucid dreams, although most are random without any prior preparation on my part (apart from exploring LD on the web and random RC's). I was very interested in dreams about two years ago, but have recently slowed. I am ready to become more serious about this. Check out my DJ!

      PS I would like to pose a question.
      I find that in the morning, it is easy to lose the memories of a dream as we become distracted by our daily activities. However, when I get ready for bed and try to sleep I find that the memories of past dreams (usually the night prior) come back to me. It is less the actual events and more the feeling/essence of the dream itself. But, I can tell it is specific to the dream itself. I also encounter this feeling when I meditate. Anyone else experience this?

      Your question: I usually recall 'things' that were present in previous dreams but I cant make out what it is. As if it were coded in a different language.

      Welcome to Dream Views! I sometimes forgot a dream completely in the morning when I think of the day ahead, then when I'm close to sleep I suddenly remember it again! Not so sure what causes it, but I'm just gonna have a guess and say that being close to sleep activates your dream memories.

      Anyway, great to hear that you're gonna become more serious about lucid dreaming. Hope to see you around!

      Yep, I get that sense of previous dreams as well. Not before sleep (which sort of sucks, because that is a great time to get the feeling), but at random times throughout the day, often swimming in the same stream as other thoughts I'm having, yet just out of reach.

      I guess for me it's sort of "night residue" finding its way into my waking life, as opposed to the waking life day residue that finds its way into our dreams. It's also not just last night's dreams, but can often be dreams from long ago -- or at least it feels like that.

      I wish the dreams would come back to me....but for me, once they are gone they tend to stay gone.
