      Hello, everyone.

Hi, I'm DV's newest (for the moment) member. I've become fascinated by the prospect of recovering my lucid dreaming experience of my youth, and have been keeping a dream journal for the past three weeks which (I'm surprised to say) has just had it's tenth entry. No lucid dreams in that three week time frame, but I'm hopeful that some time in 2014 I'll have one or more.

I decided to get a bit more "serious" about exploring what is now known about Lucid Dreaming, and ordered "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" from Amazon yesterday. The amount of information online is miraculous, as is this forum. I very much hope to be able to advance my abilities with your kind assistance, and then, give back something when I have something worthwhile to say.

When I was young I used to have so many interesting dream experiences. Then life got in the way and the complications of marriage, education, career, kids, family just pushed that and so many other worthwhile things into the dark corners, almost to be completely forgotten. One of my 2014 resolutions was to recover - even advance - the abilities I seemed to naturally possess in my youth.

I look forward to getting to know you all as time progresses.

      Frank

Thanks for the kind words of welcome. I'm excited about the affirmative decision to pursue this old, but satisfying experience and see if I can recoup some of the abilities I once possessed. Its been a long time since I put any effort into cultivating, and enhancing my dream world/life, so I've been pleasantly surprised by recent results. Until I actually read up on lucid dreaming and began to employ some of the techniques I read about, I'd not remembered a dream in ages. Remembering ten dreams in three weeks is like an avalanche to me, so I am really encouraged.

One thing I've ALWAYS been able to do was to suggest to myself a time to wake up. I have this incredibly accurate internal clock. I never really need to set an alarm (although I always do). All I need to do is tell myself what time I want to wake up, and I usually nail it to the minute. I'm hoping whatever that ability represents will also help me achieve a lucid dream (or maybe several) in 2014.

Anyway, once again, thanks for the nice words of welcome.

Ah, an excellent internal alarm clock will be very useful for Wake Back to Bed (WBTB) which is a technique that greatly increases one's chance of having a lucid dream.
