      Hello everyone! :D

I have been quite interested in this particular website for awhile but never really had the guts to make a profile...lol I need a place somehow relate to others who experience Lucid Dreaming and Dream Control like myself. So here is my story I hope that it peaks someones interest. I have been able to Lucid Dream and Dream Control since before I could even remember, I thought it was very normal and that every person did it all the time. I did not know the proper terms and it did not concern me until junior year in high school. I was sitting in my Psychology class when my instructor came across the topic and said that everyone is capable but it takes practice. I felt time slow I thought "hmm..." she then asked if anyone ever did LD or DC...I was the only person to raise my hand. I then explained my experience and she fell silent and said I should look into getting studied because to be able to naturally do this and not even really know it was rare. That was 4 years ago I am now 21...

When I Lucid Dream I ALWAYS Dream Control, If I am really focused about 2-3 times a week if I am unusually stressed or tired maybe once a week. When I was younger around 7-8 I started off changing little things my shoes or my nail color now I can change my entire world and command with a simply word or thought a change. For example, this week I did not like that my dream started off in the day time so I said "Day become Night NOW" and it happened. I have created an entire world that I visit often with people and things and they know I am dreaming...I can feel the weight of my body on the bed and even twitch my toes and fingers while I am dreaming.....I know my time is short so when I start off I am very aware that my time is limited,I know when I am waking and I quickly tell my companions "Ill see you soon I am awaking now" they understand and say goodbye. The dream world when I am in control feels more real than reality itself. The fact that I can grab someones face and memorize every detail of a face that I have never seen before is surreal. I don't really need to put much effort into activating a Lucid Dream I just need to have a clear mind, relaxed, plenty of time to sleep and a focus point. I have to tell my self before I go to bed "I will dream about..." and I can make it happen. Overall, I have never met a person who has been able to do this so I hope that my time here on Dreamviews will help me advance my abilities and learn from others if I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to send me a message.

      Welcome to Dreamviews, LCS.

That's a nice story. I hear from others here that they started lucid dreaming at young age.

You have nice control and persistent realms are very cool. I like how you tell your friends goodbye : )

      Welcome

      Welcome to DV!
I'm not sure if it's as rare as your teacher seemed to think. There are quite a few people on DV who started out as natural lucid dreamers, and began to refine their skills once they discovered what lucid dreaming actually was.
I think it's not uncommon for children to have lucid dreams - lots of people say they were natural lucid dreamers when they were young. I had lucid dreams as a kid myself, but they stopped happening for a while until I learnt about LD induction in my teens.
You will fit in just fine here - there are people of all different backgrounds and abilities.
Hope to see you around the forum!

It feel so good to be among people who get it lol my teacher meant that it was quite rare for me to have created a world that I consistently revisit with the same places and people, I hope to meet others who have done the same! I see your LD count is infinite how intriguing!!!!! xD what is your world like?

Hey LCS, welcome to DreamViews! That's a really cool story

It's great to have such an experienced lucid dreamer as yourself join our community, I would love to read your dream journal as it's one of my goals to have dream character friends

We have a member named Hyu who has his own dreamworlds, he calls them persistent realms. Here's his dream journal: Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views - Hyu's Adventures - Dream Journals

He also has a guide on how to create a persistent realm, not that you need it but it's interesting to read: Persistent realms and other lucid dreaming techniques I use. - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

And here's an interesting thread he made about one of his DC friends: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...other-dcs.html

I hope you enjoy it here, let me know if you need help with anything. I'm looking forward to seeing you around the forums! ^_^

      Oh, that makes more sense.

I didn't count my LDs for the first few years I was inducing them, and I had them almost every night, sometimes multiple times in a night. I'm not sure what my count would be by now...

I don't have a world that I revisit, although I did when I was a kid. Any time I woke up and saw my wardrobe emitting a rainbow glow, I knew that my special world was awaiting inside it.
There was also a recurring dream character, like a father figure who guided and comforted me, who I was able to reconnect with when I started lucid dreaming years later.
By the way, most people on this website use the acronym 'DC' to mean 'dream character'. Just thought I'd save you some confusion, because I'm guessing you use it to mean 'dream control'.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give me this information and for the warm welcome! Funny thing is I am a Psychology major and I LD like crazy but we've only learned the basics and it shocks me all the tips and tricks that people go to, to induce LD c: im learning so much from everyone here and all the different techniques! I posted a new DJ if you want to go read it, it has my usual people but a different scenery.

HAHA! I did mean Dream Control! thanks for the tip, omg that is amazing look forward to reading your Dream Journals!
