      Hello

      Hello

I have been wanting to lucid dream for about 2 years. I have had some streaks where I would practice the technique I was trying every day, and I would get some lucid dreams.

However, I can't keep a constant routine of doing the techniques. Dream journaling is the hardest for me to convince myself to do.

Usually I will go two months or so without trying, then I will remember all the possibilities of lucid dreaming while daydreaming, or seeing something about it on the Internet. Then after a few weeks, I will give up again because of my laziness toward journaling. Then the cycle restarts.

Because of this, I have slowly been losing my skill, and now I am basically back to square one.

So I am here to get inspired to continue doing techniques/journaling, and learn to remind myself to keep up with it.

      Welcome flatstack!

I have a similar problem with going through phases where I am super motivated and then not at all, it can be quite frustrating! I'm glad that you joined these forums, they've helped me a lot to find inspiration and motivation to lucid dream and improve. The staff are all really helpful and knowledgeable as well, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

There are a couple threads/programs that might be helpful to you; lucid dares and tasks of the month are both great for giving challenges to complete in dream, I also like to read other people's dream journals, I find them interesting. There's also a buddy program here where you get paired up with another member and you can help inspire and motivate each other or simply talk about dreaming.

I'm on my phone right now but maybe someone will give some links, or I can later when I'm on my laptop. I look forward to seeing you around!

      Welcome to the forums!

I too have problems with keeping up with my DJ. Sometimes life just gets in the way, you know? Anyway, we hope you find the motivation you need here!

Here's those links AnotherDreamer was talking about:

Lucid Dares - Here you can find a ton of user-given challenges for lucid dreams. Once you complete one of the "Anyone" dares, you can submit your own dares to add to the mix.

Tasks of the Month - Every month we have challenges that you can try to complete to get some flashy wings under your username, plus bragging rights of course.

Buddy Program - Need a partner to help in your dreaming motivation? The buddy program pairs you up with another member of the forum with similar interests and skills. Next month's application period starts May 15, but you can still check it out if you want.

Anyway, enjoy your stay, and let us know if you have any questions!
