Hello and Thanks for Your Help

Hello my name is DannyCool and I am looking to find some control of my mind. Just woke up thinking my house was sold and there was nothing left in it. I was still dreaming but did not realise for about 10 minutes. It was like the auctioneer was saying well there is absolutely nothing left here so you may aswell get a move on. It was meant to be scary but I was not scared. I would like to get more of a handle on my dreams so that they don't catch me out so much. Love to All. DannyCool.

      Welcome, DannyCool!
That sounds like a pretty profound dream, I'm glad you weren't scared though.

Dreams where we "wake up" like that are called false awakenings (often abbreviated to "FA" on DreamViews).
It's good to get into the habit of performing reality checks upon waking, to make it more likely that you'll become lucid during FAs.

Are you currently keeping a dream journal? Recording your dreams is a great way to improve your recall, and it can also allow you to identify common themes in your dreams (dream signs) which can help with your awareness in future dreams.

I look forward to seeing you around!

      Hey DannyCool,

Lucid dreaming is not only a great way to build control over your mind while you're sleeping, but while you're awake as well!

But anyway, I hope to see you around more, and welcome to the forum!
