You're very welcome here, Ymir!
Your dream sounds very profound and symbolic. It reminds me of the "choose your own adventure" stories I used to read as a kid.
I don't think I'm very good at interpreting other people's dreams without knowing them, but if you ask in the Dream Interpretation subforum, there might be someone who can help you!
A small thought though: I had a very vivid dream in 2007 that helped me to realise that I should focus on shaping my life around what truly makes me happy, and do whatever I needed to do to follow that dream. It had similar multiple choice themes, and I woke up feeling like it was a sign that I should really consider the paths I'm taking and whether they're leading me to true fulfilment. I felt motivated to live a life that reflected who I really wanted to be, and I actually ended up moving interstate to follow that goal. My dream also showed me people rushing around, and I realised that they were missing out on seeing all the beautiful scenery around us. I felt like that was a reminder to slow down and appreciate the journey and the small beauties in life, without getting too caught up in the end goal. I'm not sure if you feel like your dream had similar symbols, but it reminded me of some of the themes in my dream.
As for remembering dreams...
Keeping a dream journal is a great way to start improving your dream recall!
First thing when you wake up, try to stay calm and still with your eyes closed, without letting your mind immediately start thinking about the day ahead. Instead, try to focus on the dream you were just having and see if you can remember any small details - people, places, events, or even feelings. Sometimes more details will flood back to you once you can grasp onto one memory. Replay as much of the dream in your head as you can remember while you're still closing your eyes, and then write about it in your dream journal.
You might start out just remembering a small fragment or two, but if you keep working on this, I bet you will start to remember many more long dreams like the one above!
Everyone dreams every single night, so learning to remember them can be an interesting and rewarding skill.
I hope to see you more around the forum!
