Hi cjc2040, |

Ok so I have read extensively on lucid dreaming ever since I saw a video on hyper-realistic dreams you can control. I am %100 dedicated to learning how to have a lucid dream. If you have a technique that is well known, I probably know it. I really would like to have a lucid dream fairly soon. When I put my mind to an objective, it gets done fairly quickly. To give an example, in my entire life I remembered a total of about 10 or so dreams. Me recalling a dream is like finding a bit of gold, its extremely rare. After I started a dream journal, I remembered a total of 4 dreams within a 3 days. So my question is, what technique gives fast results. I know that people have varying lengths of time from when they start to when they get their first lucid dream but what has work best for you guys. I am asking this because there are just so many techniques you can do. I have tried a typical WILD before and a FILD. I know you aren't supposed to try multiple techniques at one time, but I am just experimenting. I am about ready to stick to one technique and practice it constantly, I just want to know what one tends to have the fastest results. No need to describe them, I can just look on guides on this forum. |

My $0.02: dedication is good, it is in fact required. The best long-term results are to be found in realizing that dreaming practice is not a destination, but a journey. Harness your motivation to maintain a steady practice. Don't let a strong desire for quick results turn into frustration and anxiety, which themselves will also impair progress. LD practice is a journey of self-discovery and self-transformation. Enjoy the journey! There will be plenty of awesome dreams along the way. If you never quit, they will come more and more frequently, until you have so much recall every night that it feels like you're living two lives instead of just one. |

I don't think any technique is better than the rest. It really depends on the person, but as Frying man said dedication is required for anything to work. |
