      Is this normal dreaming?

My dreams are very detailed, for example if I reach down to pick up sand I see every detailed piece. Also they are very large complex areas. Whole buildings and street or parks with people. All details are real. Sort of like watching tv or a movie but seeing through my view like life.

My problems is they are not nice, not nightmares, but far from pleasant. Is there some ways to control or make just pleasant? I rarely wake up refreshed. I had my first pleasant dream in years the other night and would like more.

      Thank you.

      to DreamViews!

I'm not sure if you are asking about non-lucid or lucid dreams. But both can be very detailed or less detailed or anything in between.

What do you mean by "not pleasant"? As in they are boring and mundane? You can try and think about something pleasant as you are falling asleep. Maybe a cool dream you would like to have. Sometimes it works and you get a dream similar to what you have been wanting.

In a lucid dream, you can change your dreamscape to something else.

Do you remember what were you doing differently when you had the pleasant dream? Think back and try to do it again. How many dreams do you remember every night? It's possible that you just not remembering the nice dreams.

      Good luck!

      Welcome sroach

Thats really nice that you have such detailed dreams it will give you some awesome sights and sounds to take in! Regarding the niceness I don't know if it will make any sense to you but I know when I make the effort to go to sleep on a good feeling it always helps my dreams and my wake up ... For example if I go to sleep without resolving an argument or bad feeling in the family or such like I never get a good sleep and will often wake up feeling just as awful as I did the night before - so I make it a thing to always go to sleep with some Joy or peace

Anyway, hope you enjoy the forum
